SUPPORTING LOCAL INITIATIVES

Continuing Community Orientation

ACORN Iraq is currently supporting Rejin Cultural Center for the Development of Children’s Skills. This is a local charity registered under the ministry of interior in Kurdistan – Iraq. It aims at helping children who are most vulnerable in the region and society, especially refugees and IDPs (Internally Displaced People) to reach to their full potential. The Center fulfills this aim by providing educational and recreational activities and programs and by offering psychosocial support to the children. ACORN has been supporting this center through providing staff to teach English classes and Trauma therapy for the children. We also financially support specific events like Christmas gifts for all the children and excursions.
